It was Barcelona's first major confrontation since his new coach
Quique Setién arrived, a chance for him to regain his place among
the fans but Barcelona lost yesterday despite possession of 74% of
the ball and offensive domination.
After Gomez's missed penalty for Valencia in the 12th minute,
Barcelona failed to react despite the domination and suffered a
few offensives from Valencia which ended up paying with
Jordi Alba's opening scoring against his side on the way back
from the locker room, then the goal of Gomez's victory in the
77th minute, on a Torres pass.
